HOMEOPATHIC PRINCIPLES:
POTENCY - ‘LESS IS MORE’
IMPORTANCE OF ‘MOTHER TINCTURE’
Whatever the base substance - animal, vegetable, or mineral -
that substance must be in a form or made into a form
that is either ‘mixable’ with lactose powder, or
absorbable into alcohol/water.
This is refered to as ‘the Mother Tincture’ (strictly meaning in a fluid)
from which subsequent ‘batches’ can be drawn from.

REDUCTION/DILUTION
Homeopathic preparation involves the increasingly ‘reduce/dilute’’ a substance,
until little or even none of the original substance is present -
including going past the mathematical-possibility
of even one molecule of the original substance being present.
Basically, the more a substance is ‘reduced/diluted’,
the ‘stronger’ or more ‘potent’ it becames.
The term ‘Potency’ is used to reflect the ‘potential’ (strength) of a remedy.
SEEMS ‘ILLOGICAL’
At first, this ‘less-is-more’ sees illogical, but only if one focuses on the physical.
For example, if one sees this like diluting cordial
- so continually adding water to already diluted cordial -
then eventually there will be no cordial left, only water.
FOCUS INSTEAD ON ‘STRENGTHENING THE MESSAGE’
When one accepts that everything that exists has its own specific vibration,
then what the homeopathic preparation process does
is to ‘absorb the vibration of a substance’ - in effect, its ‘message/s’
So the ‘reduction/dilution’ process first aborbs a substance’s message
and then more ‘reduction/dilution’ increases the strength of that message
- that is, LESS SUBSTANCE, CREATES MORE MESSAGE -
and more message creates more ‘Potency’.
‘MESSAGE AMPLIFICATION’
In essence, potency reflects message ‘amplification’ -
