SELECTING A REMEDY
Tissalt and Classical Selection Methods
TISSALT SELECTION
Selection process is similar to that of ‘classical’ approach outlined below,
BUT there are only 12 remedies to initially select from,
and their associated symptoms have little to no similarlities
associated with another tissalt.
MUCH SIMPLER
This makes it much simpler to address the presenting symptoms
by selecting one or a few appropriate tissalts, especially as
‘tissalt books’ are much smaller than the all-homeopathy-remedy books.
LEAD INTO MORE COMPLEX IF NEEDED
If tissalt remedies do not sufficiently redress the symptoms,
then they do also have identified links to non-tissalt remedies
which have strong association with similar symptoms,
or very specific symptoms not being redressed can become more obvious
and again provide a lead to a more specific non-tissalt remedy choices.
CLASSICAL SELECTION
With 1,000s of non-tissalt homeopathic remedies to select from,
the ‘Classical’ approach is to
- first identify as many ‘dis-ease’ symptoms as possible
- then ‘match’ with remedies which note one or more of those symptoms.
FINDING POSSIBLE REMEDIES
Traditionally this involves reading through book/s
which list very specific symptoms along with
alphabetically listed remedies associated each symptom.
Now days, computerised databases are available to do this search.
ASSOCIATION RANKING
Each remedy associated with a specific symptom is assigned a ‘ranking’
1 for ‘weak’, 2 for ‘medium’ and 3 for ‘strong’.
which is based on research into each particular remedy
(see Like-with-Like and Character-Personality).
REMEDY SCORE
All the ‘ranked’ remedies then have their 1s, 2s, or 3s added together,
with the highest scoring remedy being the most likely suitable,
although other near highest score remedies are also ‘probably suited’.
