STILLITOE HEEL TO THE HEAD
At Friend’s House, 15 years old.
Ok.
It was a girls’ place and I was trying to become her boyfriend.
She was relatively new to our school
and had created quite a bit of interest from us lads.
I arrived at her house at a time I had visited her a few times previously.
This time though, there was a ‘rival suitor’ there -
one of the ‘coolest’ guys at our school.
He seemed a bit surprised that I was there
and said something like he was leaving,
because she needed to tell me something.
Sounded good to me.
Oh, so naive me.
Anyway.
Her and I sat on the couch and started ‘talking’
Well, ‘pashing’ really.
And a bit of her upper clothing was being removed.
Good progress I thought.
Then WHACK!
Something fairly pointy had been thudded into my top right side of my head!
And how! And Owww!
Turned out it was inflicted by her younger brother.
He had hit me with one of their mother’s stillitoe heeled shoes.
“What did you that for” she asked her brother.
“Because I want you to go out with the other guy” her brother said.
At this point I vividly recalled that when I had walked in,
the ‘rival’ and her were entangled in a similar situation
that we had got to, before the brotherly ‘intervention’.
Turned out, what the ‘rival’ had said to her after I had walked in was
“you obviously haven’t told him yet so I’ll leave.”
Yep … she hadn’t told me she was going to go with the ‘coolest one’
and I was therefore on ‘the outer’.
Have relatively recently ‘pulled’ most of that flesh out of that ‘dent’.
Still hurts every now and again though, but is physically much better.
Not so sure about the emotional hurt being healed though.
