TACKLED NECK At high school, 15 years old. We were playing light-touch rugby at Pys.Ed It was all pretty simple and friendly, until … I had the ball and running as one does. So I was ‘the target’ to be tackled. And so I was. Hard. Around the head/neck. Felt like the bloke was trying to tear my head off. I was hurt. I couldn’t continue. Ended up going to hospital for x-rays. Not broken or dislocated collarbone. ‘Badly wrenched’ was the diagnosis. Was strapped up with a bandage in a figure-8 pattern under the armpits and across the back of the shoulders. Do this for a week and you’ll be fine. I did it for a week. I wasn’t fine. My left clavicle, near the sternum, protruded out more than the right clavicle did. After a few decades, I tried a few specific exercises, which helped a little. This injury has definitely been an ongoing contrbutor to my shoulder, neck and headache issues. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ (Back) To… Incidents Overview Page (Back) To… “S-P-C” Site Overview Map ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ WARNING: “Self-Physi-Chiro” may make it easier for you to form positive changes within and to your health/life. “SteveKineez” ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ For whole site overview, visit … Steve “Kineez” SITE MAP Site-Wide Disclaimer and Copyright Notices
